This thesis explores the effectiveness of restorative justice programs in reducing recidivism rates among juvenile offenders. The study investigates the impact of restorative justice practices on the behavior and outcomes of young offenders, with a specific focus on the potential for these programs to address underlying issues that contribute to criminal behavior and prevent future involvement in the justice system. The introduction provides background information on the prevalence of juvenile offending and recidivism rates, highlighting the need for alternative approaches to traditional punitive measures. The problem statement identifies the gaps in existing research and the importance of evaluating the efficacy of restorative justice programs in addressing the root causes of juvenile delinquency. The objectives of the study include assessing the impact of restorative justice interventions on recidivism rates, exploring the factors that contribute to successful outcomes, and identifying any limitations of these programs. The scope of the study is defined in terms of the geographic location, target population, and time frame of the research.
