Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of socioeconomic factors on juvenile delinquency rates in urban areas. The study aims to investigate how various socioeconomic factors such as poverty, education, family structure, and neighborhood environment influence the likelihood of juveniles engaging in delinquent behaviors. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to examine existing studies on the topic and analyze relevant data to draw conclusions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, including the background of the research, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review of ten key studies that have examined the relationship between socioeconomic factors and juvenile delinquency rates in urban areas. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in the study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four presents a thorough discussion of the findings, analyzing the impact of socioeconomic factors on juvenile delinquency rates based on the data collected and reviewed in the study. The conclusion and summary in Chapter Five provide a synthesis of the main findings and implications of the study.
