This thesis investigates the complex interplay between social media use and criminal behavior, aiming to provide insights into the potential influences and connections between these two phenomena. The rise of social media platforms has revolutionized communication and interaction in contemporary society, offering new avenues for socialization, information dissemination, and networking. However, along with these benefits, concerns have emerged regarding the impact of social media on criminal behavior. This study explores various facets of this relationship, examining how social media platforms may contribute to or mitigate criminal activities. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study and outlining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and the structure of the thesis.
