Body-worn cameras (BWCs) have become a prominent tool in modern law enforcement, aiming to enhance police accountability and rebuild public trust. This study delves into the impact of BWCs on police accountability and public trust in law enforcement agencies. The research investigates the implementation of BWCs in police departments, examining the policies and procedures in place, as well as the challenges faced during deployment. By conducting a thorough literature review, this study explores the existing research on the efficacy of BWCs in enhancing police accountability and public trust. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to gather comprehensive insights. Through surveys, interviews, and content analysis of BWC footage, the research aims to assess the perceptions of police officers, community members, and other stakeholders regarding the utilization of BWCs. Additionally, the study analyzes the legal and ethical considerations surrounding BWC deployment, including issues related to privacy, data storage, and transparency. Findings from the research reveal the multifaceted impact of BWCs on police accountability and public trust.
