This research project delves into the intricate dynamics of fabricating social order through a critical history of police power. The study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the evolution of police forces and their role in shaping societal structures. By scrutinizing the historical development of policing practices, the research aims to unearth the underlying mechanisms through which police power influences and maintains social order. The project adopts an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on insights from sociology, criminology, history, and political science to provide a nuanced analysis of the multifaceted nature of police power. Through a critical lens, the research examines the power dynamics at play within policing institutions and their implications for individual rights, social control, and governance. Central to the investigation is an analysis of the ways in which police forces have been utilized to enforce and perpetuate existing power structures. By tracing the historical roots of modern policing, the study seeks to illuminate the connections between police practices, state authority, and social hierarchies.
