Abstract
Solid mineral exploitation is a significant economic activity in many countries, providing valuable resources for various industries. However, the process of extracting and processing these minerals often leads to environmental pollution, which can have far-reaching consequences on ecosystems and human health. This research project aims to investigate the relationship between solid mineral exploitation and environmental pollution, focusing on the mechanisms through which pollution occurs and the potential solutions to mitigate its impact. The study will first assess the different types of solid minerals being exploited and the methods used for extraction, identifying the key pollutants generated during these processes. By analyzing case studies from various mining sites, the research will evaluate the specific environmental effects of different minerals, such as heavy metal contamination of soil and water, air pollution from dust and gases, and habitat destruction from mining activities. Furthermore, the project will explore the regulatory frameworks in place for solid mineral exploitation and environmental protection, examining the effectiveness of current policies in preventing pollution. Thesis Overview

Solid minerals play an important role in the world today, as they are some of our most basic natural resources used in everyday building and other constructional purposes. Adequate supplies of these basic resources are vital to economic life of the country. This seminar examines the problems, control and prevention of environmental pollution, and environmental pollution caused by solid mineral exploitation. It recommends an environmentally friendly atmosphere for solid mineral exploitation.
