Abstract
Climate change is a pressing issue that affects ecosystems worldwide, with marine mammals being particularly vulnerable to its impacts due to their reliance on oceanic habitats. This thesis aims to investigate how climate change influences the behavior and ecology of marine mammals, focusing on key species such as whales, dolphins, seals, and sea otters. Through a comprehensive literature review and field research, this study examines the various ways in which changing environmental conditions, such as rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification, and melting sea ice, are affecting the distribution, migration patterns, feeding behaviors, reproductive success, and overall population dynamics of marine mammals. Chapter one provides an introduction to the topic, outlining the background of the study, defining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review encompassing ten key aspects related to the impact of climate change on marine mammals, including studies on species-specific responses, physiological adaptations, and conservation efforts.
