Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that has significant impacts on various ecosystems and wildlife populations. Migratory birds, in particular, are highly sensitive to environmental changes and are experiencing disruptions in their traditional migration patterns and behaviors due to climate change. This thesis aims to investigate the effects of climate change on the behavior of migratory birds, focusing on how changing environmental conditions influence their migratory routes, timing, and foraging behaviors. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, highlighting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two examines existing studies on the impacts of climate change on migratory birds, covering topics such as changes in migratory patterns, habitat loss, food availability, and population dynamics. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the study design, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques. It also discusses the selection of study sites, bird species, and environmental variables to be monitored. The chapter further details the statistical methods to be used in analyzing the data and drawing conclusions. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings from the study, focusing on the observed changes in migratory bird behavior in response to climate change.
