This thesis aims to assess the impact of gentrification on housing affordability in urban neighborhoods, focusing on understanding the processes, causes, and consequences of gentrification on housing costs and access to affordable housing. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of housing data with qualitative investigation through interviews and case studies. The introduction provides an overview of gentrification as a global urban trend and its implications for housing affordability and social inclusion. The background of the study outlines the historical context and theoretical frameworks underpinning gentrification research, highlighting the key debates and issues in the field.
