Urban revitalization has become a critical aspect of sustainable urban development, especially in inner-city neighborhoods facing various challenges such as disinvestment, social exclusion, and physical deterioration. This thesis explores the impact of mixed-use development as a strategy for urban revitalization in inner-city neighborhoods. The study aims to investigate how mixed-use development can contribute to the economic, social, and environmental revitalization of inner-city areas and create more vibrant and sustainable urban communities. The research begins with a comprehensive literature review to examine the theoretical underpinnings of mixed-use development, urban revitalization, and the relationship between them. Various case studies and empirical evidence will be reviewed to understand the best practices and success factors of mixed-use development in inner-city contexts. This review will provide a solid foundation for understanding the potential benefits and challenges associated with implementing mixed-use development as a revitalization strategy.
