Gentrification, a complex process of urban transformation, has gained significant attention in urban planning and policy discussions due to its impact on housing affordability and neighborhood dynamics. This thesis explores the assessment of the impact of gentrification on housing affordability in urban neighborhoods. The study focuses on understanding how gentrification affects housing affordability, examining the underlying factors driving gentrification, and evaluating the implications for residents and communities. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of housing data with qualitative interviews and surveys to capture a comprehensive understanding of gentrification dynamics. The study area selected for this research is a diverse urban neighborhood experiencing rapid gentrification, allowing for a detailed examination of the process and its effects on housing affordability.
