Urban sustainability is a crucial aspect of modern city planning and development, aiming to create harmonious, resilient, and environmentally friendly urban spaces. Mixed-use developments have gained significant attention as a potential solution to enhance urban sustainability by promoting mixed land uses, reducing commute distances, and fostering vibrant communities. This thesis investigates the impact of mixed-use developments on urban sustainability through a comprehensive assessment framework. The study examines various dimensions, including economic, social, and environmental aspects, to provide a holistic understanding of the implications of mixed-use developments on urban sustainability. The research begins with an introduction that sets the context for the study, highlighting the increasing importance of urban sustainability in the face of rapid urbanization and environmental challenges. The background of the study explores the evolution of mixed-use developments and their potential benefits in creating more sustainable urban environments. The problem statement identifies the research gap concerning the specific impact of mixed-use developments on urban sustainability, prompting the need for this study.
