**Abstract
** This thesis investigates the impact of digital technology on secretarial practices in the workplace. With the rapid advancement in technology, the role of secretaries has evolved significantly, transforming traditional administrative tasks. The study aims to explore how digital technology has influenced secretarial practices and assess its implications for efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace. The research methodology employed a mixed-method approach, including qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys to gather data from secretaries and employers. The findings reveal that digital technology has revolutionized secretarial practices by automating routine tasks, enhancing communication, and improving document management. However, challenges such as skills gaps, security concerns, and resistance to change were identified as barriers to effective integration of technology in secretarial roles. Through a comprehensive literature review, this thesis examines key concepts such as the evolution of secretarial roles, the benefits and challenges of digital technology adoption, and best practices for integrating technology in the workplace.
