Abstract
This research project delves into the problems and prospects faced by married female office managers in business organizations, with a specific focus on a case study of First Bank Plc. The study aims to explore the challenges that married female office managers encounter in balancing their work responsibilities with their family obligations. Additionally, the research seeks to identify the potential opportunities and prospects available to married female office managers in advancing their careers within the organization. The research methodology employed in this study includes both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data was collected through interviews, surveys, and observations conducted among married female office managers at First Bank Plc. The findings reveal a range of issues faced by married female office managers, including work-life balance challenges, gender discrimination, limited career advancement opportunities, and societal expectations regarding their dual roles as professionals and homemakers. Despite the challenges identified, the research also highlights several prospects for married female office managers in business organizations. These include the potential for flexible work arrangements, mentorship programs, leadership development opportunities, and organizational support for work-life balance initiatives. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of creating a supportive work environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and gender equality. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided to address the problems faced by married female office managers and enhance their prospects within the organization. These recommendations include implementing policies that promote work-life balance, offering professional development programs tailored to their needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity, and providing mentorship opportunities to support their career growth. Overall, this research sheds light on the complex dynamics faced by married female office managers in business organizations, particularly within the context of First Bank Plc. By understanding the challenges and opportunities for this demographic group, organizations can develop strategies to support and empower married female office managers in achieving their full potential in the workplace.
