Abstract
The decline in male student enrollment is a growing concern in educational institutions worldwide. This research project aims to investigate the various factors responsible for the downturn in male students' enrollment. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to gather comprehensive information. The quantitative aspect of the research will involve analyzing statistical data from educational institutions over the past decade to track the trends in male student enrollment. This analysis will help identify any patterns or significant changes that may have contributed to the decline. Additionally, surveys will be conducted among male students to gather their perspectives on the reasons behind their decision to enroll or not enroll in higher education. On the qualitative side, in-depth interviews will be conducted with key stakeholders such as educators, parents, and policymakers to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying factors influencing male student enrollment. These interviews will provide valuable insights into societal norms, educational policies, and other external factors that may impact male students' decisions regarding higher education. The research will also explore potential internal factors within educational institutions that could be contributing to the decline in male student enrollment. This will involve examining aspects such as curriculum design, teaching methods, and support services to assess whether these factors are affecting male students' educational experiences and outcomes.
