Abstract
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plays a crucial role in the success of manufacturing companies by optimizing supplier interactions and enhancing supply chain efficiency. This thesis investigates the implementation of SRM strategies to achieve cost reduction in a manufacturing company. The study aims to explore how effective SRM practices can lead to improved cost management and competitive advantage in the manufacturing sector. The research methodology employed a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and quantitative data analysis to evaluate the impact of SRM on cost reduction. Through a comprehensive literature review, ten key areas related to SRM and cost reduction were identified and analyzed in detail. The findings reveal that implementing robust SRM practices, such as supplier segmentation, performance measurement, and collaboration, can significantly reduce costs and improve operational efficiency in a manufacturing company. Additionally, the research methodology chapter outlines the process of data collection, analysis, and interpretation used to draw meaningful conclusions from the study. The discussion of findings chapter provides a detailed analysis of the research results, highlighting the key factors influencing cost reduction through effective SRM. The chapter also discusses the limitations of the study and suggests areas for further research to enhance the understanding of SRM in the context of cost reduction in manufacturing.
