Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the impact of principals providing incentives for secondary school improvement. The study will focus on how different types of incentives, such as financial rewards, professional development opportunities, and recognition programs, can motivate teachers and staff to enhance their performance and contribute to the overall improvement of the school. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative interviews and surveys. The quantitative analysis will involve collecting data on key performance indicators such as student achievement scores, graduation rates, and attendance records before and after the implementation of incentive programs. This data will be used to assess the effectiveness of the incentives in driving positive changes in school performance. In addition to quantitative analysis, qualitative interviews and surveys will be conducted with principals, teachers, and staff members to gather insights into their perceptions of the incentive programs. These interviews will provide valuable information on the specific types of incentives that are most effective in motivating teachers and staff, as well as any challenges or barriers that may arise in the implementation of incentive programs.
