This research project aims to investigate the role and contribution of purchasing and supply in the profitability of Nigeria Bottling Company Plc (NBC) in Aba. The study seeks to understand how the purchasing and supply functions within the organization impact its overall profitability. The research will utilize a case study approach, focusing on NBC Aba as a specific example within the context of the Nigerian beverage industry. The primary objectives of the study include examining the current purchasing and supply practices at NBC Aba, analyzing the relationship between purchasing decisions and organizational profitability, and identifying areas for potential improvement in the purchasing and supply processes. By conducting interviews, surveys, and analyzing financial data, the research will provide insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of NBC Aba's purchasing and supply operations. The theoretical framework for this study will draw on relevant literature on purchasing and supply management, strategic sourcing, cost reduction strategies, and their impact on organizational performance and profitability. The research will also explore key concepts such as supplier relationship management, procurement strategies, and supply chain optimization. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on purchasing and supply management in the context of the Nigerian beverage industry.
