The integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the public sector has transformed the way government services are delivered, with e-Government initiatives playing a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement. This thesis presents an in-depth analysis of the impact of e-Government on service delivery within local government authorities. The study aims to investigate how the adoption of e-Government practices influences the quality, accessibility, and responsiveness of services provided by local government authorities. Chapter One provides a comprehensive introduction to the research topic, highlighting the background of the study, the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two examines previous studies and theoretical frameworks related to e-Government, service delivery, and the impact of ICTs in the public sector. The chapter synthesizes existing knowledge to provide a solid foundation for the research.
