Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have emerged as a popular mechanism for the delivery of public services, aiming to combine the strengths of both the public and private sectors to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This thesis critically evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of PPPs in delivering public services, focusing on their impact on service quality, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance. The study investigates various factors influencing the success of PPP projects, including governance structures, risk allocation, performance monitoring mechanisms, and stakeholder engagement. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms.
