Performance-based budgeting (PBB) has gained increasing attention as a strategic tool for improving accountability, transparency, and efficiency in public sector organizations. This thesis examines the implementation and impact of PBB in public sector organizations, focusing on its effectiveness in enhancing performance management and resource allocation. The study explores the theoretical foundations of PBB, reviews the existing literature on PBB implementation, and analyzes its implications for organizational performance. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presents the background of the study, states the problem statement, outlines the objectives, discusses the limitations and scope of the study, highlights the significance of the research, and provides the structure of the thesis.
