As governments worldwide seek to enhance citizen engagement and service delivery, the adoption of e-government initiatives has gained significant momentum. This thesis aims to investigate the impact of e-government initiatives on citizen engagement and service delivery in local governments. The study will analyze the extent to which digital technologies and online platforms have transformed the way citizens interact with their local governments and access public services. By examining various e-government initiatives implemented in local government settings, this research seeks to provide insights into the benefits and challenges associated with digital transformation in the public sector. The literature review section of the thesis will explore existing research and scholarly works related to e-government, citizen engagement, and service delivery in the context of local governments. By synthesizing information from a diverse range of sources, this chapter will provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence concerning e-government initiatives and their impact on public administration. The research methodology section will outline the methods and approaches used to collect and analyze data for this study. Through a mixed-methods research design, including surveys, interviews, and case studies, the research aims to gather both quantitative and qualitative data to examine the relationship between e-government initiatives, citizen engagement, and service delivery in local government settings.
