The advancement of technology has revolutionized the way governments interact with citizens, leading to the emergence of e-government initiatives aimed at enhancing citizen engagement in public administration. This thesis delves into the impact of e-government initiatives on citizen engagement within the realm of public administration. The study aims to investigate how these initiatives influence the level of citizen involvement, satisfaction, and trust in government processes. By examining the effectiveness and challenges of e-government initiatives, as well as their implications for citizen engagement, this research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on e-governance and public administration. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, setting the stage for the study by presenting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two offers a comprehensive literature review that explores ten key themes related to e-government initiatives and citizen engagement.
