This research project focuses on exploring the attitudes of undergraduate youths toward democratic values and its implications for social studies. The study aims to investigate the perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors of young adults in relation to democratic principles such as equality, freedom, justice, and civic engagement. Understanding the attitudes of undergraduate students toward democratic values is crucial as they represent a significant segment of the population that will shape the future of society. The research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to collect data on the attitudes of undergraduate students. Surveys will be conducted to gather information on students' perceptions of democracy, their level of engagement in civic activities, and their understanding of democratic principles. Additionally, focus group discussions will be held to delve deeper into the underlying reasons for the attitudes expressed by the participants. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the attitudes of undergraduate youths toward democratic values. By analyzing the data collected, the research aims to identify trends, patterns, and variations in students' attitudes toward democracy. Understanding these attitudes is essential for educators, policymakers, and social studies curriculum developers to tailor educational programs that promote democratic values and active citizenship among young adults.
