Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals, aiming to provide insights into the effectiveness of this exercise regimen in improving cardiovascular parameters among this population. The study addresses the growing concern of sedentary lifestyles contributing to the rising prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and aims to explore HIIT as a potential intervention to mitigate these health risks. The research methodology involved a systematic literature review to analyze existing studies on the effects of HIIT on cardiovascular health. This review identified key trends, knowledge gaps, and inconsistencies in the literature, forming the basis for the primary data collection phase of the study. A total of 100 sedentary individuals were recruited and randomly assigned to either a HIIT intervention group or a control group. The HIIT group underwent a structured training program consisting of high-intensity exercise sessions interspersed with periods of rest, while the control group maintained their sedentary lifestyle.
