Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Cardiovascular health is a critical component of overall well-being, and regular exercise is known to have positive effects on cardiovascular function. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health in young adults. The research design involved a randomized controlled trial where participants were divided into three groups high-intensity exercise, moderate-intensity exercise, and sedentary control. Various cardiovascular parameters, including heart rate, blood pressure, and lipid profiles, were measured before and after the intervention period. The results indicated that both high-intensity and moderate-intensity exercise groups showed significant improvements in cardiovascular health compared to the sedentary control group. Specifically, participants in the high-intensity exercise group demonstrated greater reductions in resting heart rate and blood pressure, as well as improvements in lipid profiles, compared to the moderate-intensity group. These findings suggest that high-intensity exercise may offer additional benefits for cardiovascular health in young adults. Furthermore, the study identified some limitations, such as the relatively small sample size and the short duration of the intervention period. Future research could explore the long-term effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health in a larger and more diverse population. Overall, this study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the importance of regular exercise, particularly high-intensity exercise, for promoting cardiovascular health in young adults. Keywords cardiovascular health, exercise intensity, young adults, randomized controlled trial, heart rate, blood pressure, lipid profiles.
