The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has brought about numerous benefits and opportunities in various aspects of human life. However, the rapid development and deployment of AI systems have raised significant ethical concerns regarding their impact on society, individuals, and the environment. This thesis critically examines the moral implications of AI development, focusing on the ethical challenges that arise from the increasing integration of AI technology into everyday life. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, defining the problem statement, outlining the objectives, discussing the limitations and scope of the study, highlighting the significance of the research, and presenting the structure of the thesis. This chapter also includes a comprehensive definition of key terms related to the ethics of AI. Chapter Two conducts a thorough literature review, analyzing ten key studies and articles that address the ethical considerations of AI development. The review covers topics such as the ethical implications of AI in healthcare, finance, autonomous vehicles, and surveillance systems, among others.
