The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has raised significant ethical concerns regarding the implications of AI decision-making on society. This thesis delves into the complex landscape of AI ethics, focusing on the moral dimensions of AI decision-making processes. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical research, this study aims to provide insights into the ethical considerations that underpin AI systems. The introductory chapter sets the stage by outlining the background of the study, defining the problem statement, stating the objectives, identifying the limitations and scope, highlighting the significance of the study, and presenting the structure of the thesis. Additionally, key terms are defined to provide clarity and context for the subsequent chapters. The literature review chapter critically examines ten key themes related to AI ethics, including transparency, accountability, bias, privacy, autonomy, decision-making, regulation, trust, responsibility, and the societal impact of AI technologies. By synthesizing existing research and theoretical frameworks, this chapter lays the foundation for the subsequent empirical investigation.
