The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various facets of society has raised significant ethical concerns, particularly regarding the moral implications of autonomous decision-making systems. This thesis aims to delve into the ethical considerations surrounding AI and its impact on decision-making processes. The study begins with an exploration of the background of AI technology and its rapid advancement, setting the stage for a detailed analysis of the ethical dilemmas that arise when AI systems are tasked with making decisions that have profound consequences for individuals and society as a whole. The problem statement addresses the ethical challenges inherent in delegating decision-making authority to AI systems, which lack the capacity for empathy, moral reasoning, and emotional intelligence. By examining case studies and theoretical frameworks, this study seeks to highlight the potential pitfalls of relying on AI for critical decision-making tasks, such as in healthcare, criminal justice, and autonomous vehicles.
