Abstract
Children with attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) often face challenges in academic settings due to their difficulties with attention, impulse control, and hyperactivity. These challenges can impact their learning and overall well-being. Involving parents in the management and support of children with ADHD is crucial, as they play a significant role in the child's daily life and academic success. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of training parents in behavior modification skills to motivate their children with ADHD to learn, thereby creating a peaceful transition from home to school. The research will involve a sample of parents of children diagnosed with ADHD who will participate in a behavior modification training program. The program will focus on teaching parents techniques such as positive reinforcement, setting clear expectations, and creating structured routines to help their children improve focus, manage impulsivity, and engage effectively in learning activities. The training will also emphasize the importance of consistency and collaboration between home and school environments to support the child's overall development. Data will be collected through pre- and post-training assessments, observation of parent-child interactions, and feedback from teachers regarding the children's behavior and academic performance. The study will analyze the impact of the behavior modification training on parent-child relationships, the children's behavior in academic settings, and their motivation to learn. By equipping parents with effective behavior modification skills, the study aims to enhance the home environment, reduce conflicts related to academic tasks, and promote a positive learning experience for children with ADHD. The findings of this research have the potential to contribute to the development of interventions that empower parents to support their children with ADHD in achieving academic success. By strengthening the partnership between parents and schools in addressing the needs of children with ADHD, this study seeks to create a supportive and harmonious environment that fosters the learning and well-being of these children. Ultimately, the goal is to promote a peaceful transition from home to school for children with ADHD, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.
