Cancer remains a major global health concern, necessitating the continuous exploration of innovative treatment strategies. This thesis focuses on the development of novel drug delivery systems tailored for targeted cancer therapy. The objective is to enhance the efficacy and reduce the side effects of anticancer drugs through precise delivery to tumor sites. The study begins with an in-depth literature review to establish the current landscape of drug delivery in cancer treatment and identify gaps in existing approaches. Subsequently, a research methodology encompassing the design, formulation, and evaluation of the novel drug delivery systems is implemented. Various parameters such as drug loading capacity, release kinetics, and targeting efficiency are investigated to optimize the performance of the systems. The findings from the experimental work are extensively discussed in Chapter Four, highlighting the key outcomes and implications for targeted cancer therapy. The discussion encompasses the characterization of the developed drug delivery systems, their in vitro and in vivo performance, and comparisons with conventional delivery methods. Insights into the mechanisms of action and potential synergies with existing cancer treatments are also explored. The results underscore the promising potential of the novel drug delivery systems in improving treatment outcomes and reducing adverse effects associated with systemic chemotherapy.
