Abstract
The treatment of cancer has undergone significant advancements in recent years, with a particular focus on the development of targeted drug delivery systems. This thesis explores the design and development of novel drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy. The primary objective of this research is to enhance the efficacy and specificity of cancer treatments while minimizing side effects on healthy tissues. Chapter One provides the foundation for this study, including an introduction to the topic, background information on targeted drug delivery, a detailed problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing drug delivery systems, their mechanisms of action, and their applications in cancer therapy. The review includes an analysis of ten key studies that have contributed significantly to the field. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including research design, data collection methods, sample selection, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations. Additionally, this chapter discusses the criteria used to evaluate the effectiveness of the novel drug delivery systems developed in this research. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings obtained from the experiments conducted as part of this study. The chapter explores the efficacy, specificity, and safety profiles of the novel drug delivery systems in targeting cancer cells. Furthermore, the potential implications of these findings for future cancer therapy approaches are discussed. Chapter Five serves as the conclusion and summary of the project thesis.
