Abstract
This retrospective study aimed to analyze the prevalence and clinical implications of drug interactions in polypharmacy patients. Polypharmacy, defined as the concurrent use of multiple medications by an individual, is a common practice in healthcare, especially among the elderly population and those with multiple chronic conditions. The study employed a retrospective design, utilizing medical records of polypharmacy patients over a specified period. A total of [insert number] patient records were included in the analysis. Chapter one provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of terms. The literature review in chapter two encompassed ten key themes related to drug interactions, polypharmacy, clinical outcomes, risk factors, and management strategies.
