Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques play a crucial role in maximizing oil production from mature oil fields. This thesis focuses on investigating and analyzing various EOR methods to improve the recovery factor of mature oil fields. The research is motivated by the declining production rates in mature oil fields and the increasing global demand for oil. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of different EOR techniques in enhancing oil recovery from mature oil fields, with a specific emphasis on the economic and environmental aspects. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to analyze existing EOR techniques, including water flooding, gas injection, chemical flooding, thermal methods, and microbial EOR.
