The utilization of telemedicine in pediatric follow-up care within rural areas has emerged as a promising solution to address the challenges of limited access to healthcare services. This thesis explores the potential benefits and challenges associated with implementing telemedicine for pediatric follow-up care in rural settings. Through a comprehensive literature review, the study examines the current state of telemedicine in pediatric care, highlighting its efficacy in improving access to specialized healthcare services for children in rural areas. The research methodology employed in this study includes qualitative interviews with healthcare providers, caregivers, and pediatric patients to gather insights into their experiences with telemedicine services. The findings of this study reveal that telemedicine offers numerous advantages in pediatric follow-up care, including increased access to specialists, reduced travel time and costs, and improved convenience for patients and caregivers. However, challenges such as technological barriers, internet connectivity issues, and concerns regarding the quality of care provided through telemedicine were also identified.
