Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to enhance healthcare delivery and access, particularly in the field of pediatrics. This thesis investigates the impact of telemedicine on pediatric care delivery, aiming to explore its benefits, challenges, and implications for healthcare providers, pediatric patients, and their families. The study delves into the utilization of telemedicine technologies in pediatric settings, assessing its effectiveness in improving healthcare outcomes, reducing healthcare disparities, and enhancing patient satisfaction. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of telemedicine usage data and qualitative interviews with healthcare providers, pediatric patients, and caregivers. The literature review revealed key themes related to the adoption of telemedicine in pediatrics, including technology acceptance, regulatory considerations, reimbursement policies, and ethical implications. Through thematic analysis, the study identified barriers to telemedicine implementation in pediatric care, such as technological limitations, privacy concerns, and resistance to change. Findings from the study demonstrate that telemedicine offers several benefits for pediatric care delivery, including increased access to specialized care, reduced travel time and costs for families, and enhanced communication between healthcare providers and patients. However, challenges such as limited internet connectivity in rural areas, concerns about data security, and the need for specialized training for healthcare professionals were also identified. The discussion section critically examines the implications of telemedicine for pediatric care, highlighting the need for policy changes to support widespread adoption and integration of telemedicine technologies. Recommendations for healthcare providers, policymakers, and technology developers are provided to address the identified challenges and maximize the potential benefits of telemedicine in pediatric care delivery. In conclusion, this thesis underscores the transformative potential of telemedicine in pediatric healthcare, emphasizing the importance of addressing barriers to implementation and ensuring equitable access to telemedicine services for all pediatric patients.
