This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on enhancing access to pediatric care in rural areas. The study focuses on investigating how telemedicine interventions have influenced the delivery of healthcare services to children living in remote and underserved regions. By analyzing the current literature on telemedicine applications in pediatrics and conducting primary research, this study aims to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness, challenges, and opportunities associated with leveraging telemedicine technologies to improve healthcare access for pediatric populations in rural areas. Chapter One introduces the research topic, providing a background of the study and highlighting the problem statement that underpins the research. The objectives of the study are outlined, along with the limitations and scope of the research. The significance of the study in addressing gaps in pediatric healthcare access is discussed, and the structure of the thesis is presented. Additionally, key terms relevant to the research are defined to provide clarity and understanding. Chapter Two comprises a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies, articles, and reports related to telemedicine in pediatric care and rural healthcare access. The review encompasses ten key themes, including the history of telemedicine, technological advancements, benefits and challenges of telemedicine in pediatrics, regulatory considerations, and best practices for implementing telemedicine programs in rural areas.
