Virtual Reality (VR) technology has gained significant attention in various fields, including healthcare, as a promising tool to alleviate anxiety and manage pain. This thesis aims to explore the impact of Virtual Reality Technology on pediatric anxiety and pain management in hospital settings. The study focuses on pediatric patients, as they are a vulnerable population requiring specialized care and support during medical procedures. By harnessing the immersive and interactive capabilities of VR technology, this research seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of VR interventions in reducing anxiety and managing pain among pediatric patients in hospital environments. Chapter One introduces the research topic, providing a comprehensive background of the study, outlining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. The definitions of key terms related to VR technology, pediatric anxiety, and pain management are also elucidated. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review encompassing ten key themes related to VR technology, pediatric anxiety, pain management, and healthcare interventions. The review synthesizes existing research studies, theoretical frameworks, and empirical evidence to establish a foundation for the current study.
