Abstract
This thesis investigates the application of telemedicine in pediatric healthcare delivery within rural areas. The primary objective is to explore how telemedicine technologies can bridge the gap in healthcare access and delivery for children residing in remote and underserved regions. The study aims to assess the effectiveness, challenges, and potential impact of implementing telemedicine solutions specifically tailored to pediatric care in rural settings. The research begins by examining the current landscape of pediatric healthcare in rural areas, highlighting the existing disparities and limitations in access to quality medical services for children. By delving into the background of the study, the historical context of telemedicine and its evolution in healthcare delivery is explored to provide a foundation for understanding the significance of integrating telemedicine in pediatric care. Through a detailed problem statement analysis, the thesis identifies the key challenges faced by pediatric patients in rural areas, such as limited access to specialized care, long travel distances, and shortage of healthcare providers. The objectives of the study are outlined to address these challenges by evaluating the potential of telemedicine to enhance pediatric healthcare accessibility, quality, and efficiency in rural communities.
