The rapid advancement of technology has propelled organizations towards the digitization of their document management processes in order to enhance efficiency and productivity in the workplace. This thesis presents the development of an Automated Document Management System (ADMS) designed to streamline document handling, storage, retrieval, and sharing within an office setting. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the challenges faced by traditional manual document management systems and to propose a technological solution that leverages automation to improve office efficiency. The study begins with an introduction to the importance of document management in office environments and the rationale for developing an ADMS. A comprehensive review of existing literature is conducted to explore current trends, technologies, and best practices in document management systems, providing a theoretical foundation for the research. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, data collection methods, and implementation strategy for developing the ADMS. The system architecture, features, and functionality are described in detail, highlighting key components such as document categorization, version control, access control, and search capabilities.
