Thesis Abstract

This project work was carried out on the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on secretarial performance in the public service of Owerri Municipal. It was carried out in order to find out the impact of ICT on the secretaries performance. The work was base on three research questions. i.e. what is the impact of ICT on shorthand writing by secretaries What computer skills do you consider most appropriate for secretaries working in the office possess Do most secretaries at Owerri Municipal use computers freely for office work The population was up to 40 secretaries from Owerri Municipal. The questionnaires were made up of an instrument of research, 40 copies of the questionnaires were distributed and returned and data collected was analyzed. To get the results in the research, mean table was used. The findings from this research showed that I.C.T have taken over in the development of secretaries performance.
