This thesis explores the applications of machine learning in predicting stock market trends. The study aims to investigate how machine learning algorithms can be used to analyze historical stock market data and predict future trends. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The chapter sets the stage for understanding the importance of using machine learning in predicting stock market trends. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key areas related to machine learning in stock market prediction. The review includes discussions on the theories, models, and algorithms commonly used in predicting stock market trends using machine learning techniques.
