This thesis explores the influence of social media on language evolution through a sociolinguistic analysis, aiming to understand the dynamic relationship between online communication and linguistic change. The study delves into how social media platforms serve as a unique environment for language innovation, adaptation, and transmission, shaping linguistic norms, practices, and identities. Chapter One provides the groundwork for the study, starting with an introduction to the research topic.
