With the rapid advancement of technology, social media has become an integral part of everyday life, significantly impacting language use and communication patterns among individuals. This thesis explores the influence of social media platforms on language use and communication patterns in contemporary society. The study aims to investigate how the use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat has shaped language use and communication patterns among users. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data on the topic. A diverse sample of social media users across different age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds was selected to provide a holistic understanding of the influence of social media on language use and communication patterns. The literature review delves into existing studies on social media, linguistics, and communication theories to establish a solid theoretical framework for the research.
