This research project examines the elements of Nigerian English in Nigerian literature through an appraisal of Kaine Agary's novel, "Yellow Yellow." Nigerian English, a variety of English spoken in Nigeria, is characterized by unique linguistic features influenced by the country's diverse indigenous languages and colonial history. The study explores how Nigerian English is utilized by Agary in "Yellow Yellow" to depict the cultural and social realities of contemporary Nigeria. Through a close analysis of the language used in the novel, the research identifies various linguistic elements that reflect Nigerian English, such as code-switching, loanwords, idiomatic expressions, and grammatical structures.
