Abstract
The advent of technology has revolutionized various sectors, including the field of library and information science. This thesis explores the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in library management systems. The use of RFID technology in libraries has gained momentum in recent years due to its potential to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience. This study aims to investigate the impact of RFID technology on library operations and services, as well as the challenges and benefits associated with its implementation. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on RFID technology in library settings. The literature review covers ten key areas, including the history of RFID technology, its applications in libraries, benefits, challenges, and best practices. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study. It includes the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings derived from the data analysis.
