The rapid advancement of technology has transformed the landscape of information access and use, particularly through the development of digital libraries. This research project explores the impact of digital libraries on information access and use through a comparative study. The study aims to investigate how digital libraries have influenced the way individuals access and utilize information in comparison to traditional libraries. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. The rapid growth of digital libraries has raised questions about their effectiveness and impact on information access and use, necessitating a comparative analysis to understand their role in the modern information landscape. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review on digital libraries, information access, and information use. The review examines key theories, concepts, and previous studies related to digital libraries and their impact on information access and use. By synthesizing existing literature, this chapter establishes a theoretical framework for the research project. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in this study. The methodology encompasses research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures.
