Thesis Abstract

This study aims to investigate digital curation strategies for managing born-digital materials in libraries, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the proliferation of digital content. By examining the complexities of born-digital materials, including electronic records, digital archives, and web-based resources, the research seeks to identify best practices and innovative approaches for the acquisition, preservation, and access of digital materials within library collections. Through a mixed-methods approach, including case studies, expert interviews, and comparative analysis, the study will explore the evolving landscape of digital curation, aiming to provide practical insights and recommendations for libraries to effectively manage born-digital materials and ensure their long-term accessibility and usability.
