Through a mixed-methods approach, including case studies, expert interviews, and comparative analysis, the study will explore the evolving landscape of digital curation, aiming to provide practical insights and recommendations for libraries to effectively manage born-digital materials and ensure their long-term accessibility and usability.</div><br> <br><p></p>

By defining key terms and establishing the scope and objectives of the study, the introduction aims to provide a clear framework for the subsequent exploration of the evolving landscape of digital curation and its implications for library collections.</div><div>Central to this research is the investigation of born-digital materials, encompassing their characteristics, complexity, and the challenges involved in acquiring and managing digital content within library collections. The study also aims to explore digital curation strategies, including the acquisition and appraisal of born-digital materials, preservation and access considerations, as well as metadata standards and description of digital objects. Furthermore, the research endeavors to investigate technological innovations and tools that facilitate digital curation, such as digital forensics, emulation, digital repository systems, preservation platforms, and access systems for digital collections.</div><div>Moreover, the study aspires to identify best practices and recommendations for managing born-digital materials, including case studies of successful digital curation initiatives, expert perspectives on digital curation strategies, policy recommendations for effective digital curation, and future directions for libraries in managing born-digital materials. By comprehensively exploring digital curation strategies for managing born-digital materials in libraries, this research aims to inform and guide library professionals, archivists, and information specialists in advancing effective digital curation practices, ultimately benefiting the library community and ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of born-digital materials within library collections.</div> <br><p></p>
