Abstract
Adaptive equipment technology plays a crucial role in supporting handicapped persons in the library environment. Libraries are essential for providing access to information and resources, and it is imperative that they are accessible to all individuals, regardless of their physical limitations. This research project explores the various types of adaptive equipment technology available for supporting handicapped persons in libraries. The study investigates the impact of adaptive technology on the accessibility and usability of library facilities for individuals with disabilities. The research focuses on identifying the specific needs of handicapped individuals in the library environment and evaluating how adaptive equipment technology can address those needs effectively. Various types of adaptive equipment such as screen readers, magnifiers, ergonomic keyboards, and voice recognition software are examined in terms of their functionality and benefits for handicapped persons.
